How do I get to the Internationale Handwerksmesse, «Handwerk & Design», FOOD & LIFE and Garten München?

The quickest way to get to the trade fairs is by public transport. 

The underground station "Messestadt West" is located directly at the Munich exhibition centre. From the city centre, you can reach the exhibition grounds in around 20 minutes on the U2 underground line.

Where can I park?

You will find plenty of parking spaces directly at the exhibition centre. 

Car parks for visitors: 

West multi-storey car park €14.00/day (electric charging points available/free of charge) 
Open-air car park P1 North €10.00/day 

Parking spaces for coaches: 

Open-air car park P1 North € 22.00/day 

Car parks for visitors with reduced mobility 

People with disability with a disabled badge can park free of charge: Please present your disabled person's pass when entering the car park at the gate and enter free of charge. 

Where can I buy a ticket and how much does it cost?

Tickets for the Internationale Handwerksmesse, Garten München, FOOD & LIFE and «Handwerk & Design» are available online, as well as on site at the West Entrance.

What are the opening hours?

The Internationale Handwerksmesse, Garten München, FOOD & LIFE and «Handwerk & Design» will be open daily from Wednesday, 28 February to Sunday, 3 March 2024, from 09:30 to 18:00.

Where can I find cloakrooms and lockers?

Cloakrooms and lockers are located in the basement of the West Entrance. 

Cloakrooms:

  • Chargeable: € 2.50
  • Opening hours: 09:30 - 18:30

After this time, unclaimed items of clothing are taken to the lost property office. The lost property office is located in the Security Centre in the Messehaus at Gate 1 (Willy-Brandt-Allee 1, 81829 Munich) and is open around the clock.

Lockers:

Located behind the turnstiles at the glass front.

  • Cost: €1.00 per locker

The lockers are only suitable for hand luggage. Larger items of luggage can be left at the cloakrooms.

Is the exhibition centre wheelchair accessible?

The Munich exhibition centre is completely wheelchair accessible. The access areas, entrances, halls and lifts are wheelchair accessible.

Car parks

Disabled persons with a disabled pass can park free of charge: Please present your disabled person's pass when entering the car park at the gate and enter free of charge.

Toilets

  • On the north side of the C halls
  • Additional toilets for visitors with reduced mobility are well signposted

Lifts

The entire exhibition centre is equipped with wheelchair-accessible passenger lifts, which make it easy to move between levels.

Wheelchair hire

Please report to the information desk at the West Entrance. There you will be provided with a wheelchair for a cash deposit of 50 euros.

Can I bring my dog to the trade fair?

No, as the Munich Trade Fair Centre's house rules do not permit pets. 

Exceptions are guide dogs for the blind and other assistance dogs. 

Can I bring a pushchair to the fair?

Of course. You don't need an extra ticket for this. 

Where is the nappy changing station?

You will find a spacious, clean and comfortable nappy-changing station with everything you need in the West Entrance.

Where can I find an ATM?

You can withdraw cash from the following nearby ATMs: 

  • West entrance:
    In front of the turnstiles: ATM (IC-Cash Services) 
  • Outside the exhibition centre:
    Underground entrance Messestadt West: ATM of Stadtsparkasse München
    Riem Arcaden, Willy-Brandt-Platz 5: ATMs of Münchner Bank and Stadtsparkasse München 

Where is the lost and found?

If you have lost something at the trade fair, the lost property office will be happy to help you. It is located 

in the Security Centre in the Exhibition Centre at Gate 1
