International designers wanted
From now until 5th October 2020, creative designers and talented jewellery artists can apply to exhibit at the renowned special shows TALENTE and SCHMUCK at the 2021 Internationale Handwerksmesse (international craft fair) in Munich.
Internationale Handwerksmesse features the special shows TALENTE and SCHMUCK, which both enjoy international fame, show off extraordinary designers from all over the world and every March transform Munich into an international mecca of jewellery exhibits. They are organised as a competition: designers and jewellery artists from across the world enter their work as an application to exhibit at a show. Applications are still open until 5th October 2020 under the following www.ihm-handwerk-design.com/application-schmuck-talente.
The biggest show for contemporary art jewellery
As part of the international craft fair, the special show SCHMUCK is the annual meeting venue for collectors, gallery owners, museum curators and jewellery enthusiasts from across the world. The event is one of the most significant exhibitions of contemporary jewellery worldwide and every year it groups together various supporting events around the city. In 2020, a total of about 800 goldsmiths and jewellery designers from over 60 countries applied to present their works. For the 48th time, the coveted Herbert Hofmann Prize will be awarded to three goldsmiths and jewellery designers in March 2021.
A platform for brilliant ideas by talented budding designers
The special show TALENTE exhibits creative ideas from young craftspeople and designers at the craft fair. Around 100 young talents from all creative craftsmanship backgrounds present their work here. They investigate and research materials, tackle current political challenges or combine traditional handcrafting with innovative technologies. Every year, the special show culminates in the awards ceremony where an international jury awards the TALENTE prizes to the finest works.
The special shows SCHMUCK and TALENTE are special exhibitions at the Internationale Handwerksmesse in Munich. They are organised on behalf of the Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH under the aegis of Wolfgang Lösche from the department of trade fairs and exhibitions of the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
