TALENTSmünchen - MASTERS OF THE FUTURE 2025

The TALENTEmünchen – Masters of the Future event once again provides an impressive platform for young creators from around the world in 2025. With 92 participants from 27 countries, works from 12 different trades will be presented. Particularly noteworthy this year are the contributions from countries such as Belarus, Colombia, Zimbabwe and China, which emphasise the diversity and global perspective of the event. The exhibition provides a stage for extraordinary works in glass, ceramics, jewellery and textiles – always with a focus on innovation and creativity.

Sustainability and social responsibility in focus

A central theme of this year's exhibition is the examination of sustainability and the reuse of existing resources. Works that transform electronic devices or textile remnants into new, attractive designs impressively demonstrate the possibilities of re- and upcycling. In addition, the young designers are addressing social issues such as support for wheelchair users and climate control in urban spaces. For example, plantable façade tiles are presented that are both functional and aesthetic. These projects illustrate the connection between creativity, responsibility and the search for solutions to current challenges.

Synergy of craftsmanship and technology

Another focus is on the link between digital and traditional craftsmanship methods. Designers use digital technology as a source of inspiration and as a tool, without losing sight of the value of craftsmanship. Examples include the transfer of computer models into handcrafted products or the experimental use of digital techniques to optimise traditional processes. The works show how tradition and innovation can complement each other to open up new perspectives on design and production. The focus is on a willingness to experiment and an open mind towards new trends, without forgetting the roots of craftsmanship.

THE TALENTEmünchen AWARD

The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 15 March at 16:30 on the HANDWERK ON STAGE stage and will honour eight outstanding works.
