Travel by car
The Fairground Munich is located directly on the A94 motorway with two direct exits available. A dynamic traffic-guidance system regulates the flow of traffic, guides fair-going vehicles and directs trade fair visitors to the nearest available parking at the fairground.
Driving to the fairground with a navigation System
To get to the fairground, the destination address to enter is "An der Point".
Depending on which navigation system you use, the fairground is listed under the categories "Exhibition Centre", "Trade Fair Centre" and under the German keyword "Messe".
Some navigation systems allow you to select the East, West or North Entrance of the fairground. In this case, you should be sure to select an entrance that is open during your event.

Munich's city zone has been designated as a low emission zone, which is marked with traffic signs and additional signs. All streets located inside the "Mittlerer Ring" are considered to be in the low emission zone, for which a sticker is required. The "Mittlerer Ring" itself is not in the low emission zone.
The Fairground Munich is outside the low emission zone. But if you want to drive into or through the city centre of Munich an emissions sticker is required.
The emissions sticker can be ordered directly from the German TÜV.
Ban on truck/lorry traffic in Munich
As part of the city of Munich's clean-air initiative, through traffic of trucks/lorries weighing more than 3.5 tons is no longer permitted in the city. The ban concept calls for through traffic of trucks/lorries to be diverted to the A99 motorway. Traffic will be diverted or rerouted by warning signs in outlying areas, by prohibitive signs within the city limits (sign with the addition "Lieferverkehr frei" (delivery vehicles only)) and by detour signs indicating the way to the nearest motorway.
Effect on vehicles making deliveries to the Fairground Munich:
The vehicle ban expressly permits delivery vehicles whose point of origin or destination is within Munich. As a result, deliveries to and from the fairground are not affected by the vehicle ban. However, trucks/lorries whose destinations are outside of Munich may not take the A94 motorway toward Munich when leaving the fairground because doing so would make them "through traffic".
